I've noticed many very poor answers here by people who really don't have a clue. It is very difficult to get computer help via Q&A here. Sometimes an excellent Help Desk Technician can help over the phone, but if you have severe problems, you need someone to come over and sit at your machine. Look in your local Yellow Pages and find an honest computer repair place. Bring your machine in to save more money. There are places that charge a flat fee to fix most basic problems (usually about $ 39). Good luck. I understand what you’re asking.
