Help With Computer Problems
Many people today own computers in their household. It is even common for people to have more than one computer in their house due to the low prices they are sold at; or if their computer is too old, they may purchase a more up to date one.
Well it is all good when your computer is running well and behaving it’s self but when things go wrong, the situation changes(computer problems). It is very common for Pcs to malfunction, that’s why you should always do some maintenance now and then to prevent any future problems.
If your computer starts to run slow or slower than before, then you may have a problem with your system, and the longer you leave it in that condition, the more likely it will get worse. Many things can cause your computer to run slow.
Example:
1. You may have a virus on it, this can damage your system files and eventually your computer can stop working.
2. You may have spyware on your system, and any private information stored on your hard drive will be seen by other people spying on you.
3. You may have too much data on your hard drive and if you do not have enough space for virtual memory, meaning memory that the hard drive uses to store temporary data on, this can slow down the system’s performance, but nowadays hard drives come in big sizes from 250GB to onwards, if your computer is around 3 yrs old from that date of this writing, then this shouldn’t be a problem because your hard drive will have plenty of free available space.
4. You may need more memory in your computer because if you are running lots of applications at once and doing a lot of multi-tasking then the memory in your system may not be able to cope with all your tasks, so it is best to upgrade your computer’s memory or do fewer tasks at a time.
5. You may need to defragment your hard drive. If you haven’t defragmented your hard drive in a long while then all your data will be scattered all over the place, so when you want to access these files, including opening programs your computer will have a hard time accessing them, which leads to a slower performance so to increase the performance you need to defrag the hard drive.
6. Your computer’s registry may be damaged due to viruses or not shutting down properly, or left over files from uninstalling applications.
If you do encounter slow performance on your computer then you will need to get a qualified technician to repair it for you, just in case you make matters worse. There many computer repair companies out there so they are not too hard to find. If you do not have any near you then that shouldn’t be a problem because many computer repair companies do call outs.
